Finally - a wetsuit my daughter actually WANTS to wear
We have tried three different brands and she complained about every one. Itchy, too tight, smells weird. The AVALY steamer? She puts it on herself. No complaints.
Built for kids who treat the ocean like a playground. Every AVALY piece is designed in Australia specifically for children aged 2–10 who spend their weekends in the surf, at swim school, or elbow-deep in rock pools.
Key features:
Whether it's a 2mm springsuit for warm-weather adventures or a 3/2mm steamer for those crisper mornings, every AVALY wetsuit is purpose-built to keep kids comfortable, protected, and free to move.
Not all wetsuits are created equal. Most kids' wetsuits are made from petroleum-based neoprene — a synthetic rubber derived from crude oil. AVALY wetsuits use Yulex natural rubber, a plant-based alternative that performs identically but does far less damage to the planet.
What is Yulex? Yulex is natural rubber harvested from FSC-certified hevea trees grown in responsibly managed forests in Guatemala. It's the same material used by Patagonia in their adult wetsuits — and AVALY is one of the first brands in the world to bring it to kids' swimwear.
Material breakdown:
Environmental credentials:
Choosing AVALY means your child gets the same flexibility, warmth, and durability as a traditional wetsuit — without the environmental cost. That's a win for tiny humans and the ocean they love.
Getting the right fit matters. A wetsuit that's too loose lets cold water flush through (defeating the purpose), while one that's too tight restricts movement and makes your kid miserable. AVALY wetsuits are designed to fit snugly without being restrictive — think "second skin", not "sausage casing".

Real reviews from real Aussie families.
We have tried three different brands and she complained about every one. Itchy, too tight, smells weird. The AVALY steamer? She puts it on herself. No complaints.
My son has terrible eczema and every neoprene wetsuit leaves him red and itchy. We switched to AVALY and had zero irritation after a full day at the beach.
I was skeptical about paying for a kids wetsuit but this one survived months of surf school, rock pools, and beach days. Still looks new.
With our family history of skin cancer, UPF 50 plus is non-negotiable. This suit means less sunscreen battles and more fun.
Started with one suit for our youngest and ended up buying for all three kids. No chemical smell and quality is excellent.
We surf in cold water and this kept our six-year-old warm for over an hour. Plant-based and performs brilliantly.

UPF 50+ on covered skin, but don't forget sunscreen on exposed areas — face, hands, feet. Reapply every 2 hours.
Always swim at patrolled beaches between the red and yellow flags. Lifeguards are there for a reason.
Blue lips, shivering, or goosebumps? Time for a warm towel and a break. Even in summer, water draws heat fast.
That coral print isn't just cute — bright swimwear makes your child easier to spot in the water. Choose visibility.
