Cut, coverage, thickness and closures differ by style: a springsuit is short-sleeve and short-leg, a steamer is full-length with a back zip, and our rashies, trunks and one-pieces are a different construction again. The specifics for this piece are in the product description above.
Not all wetsuits are created equal. Most kids' wetsuits are made from petroleum-based neoprene — a synthetic rubber derived from crude oil. AVALY wetsuits use Yulex natural rubber, a plant-based alternative that performs identically but does far less damage to the planet.
What is Yulex? Yulex is natural rubber harvested from FSC-certified hevea trees grown in responsibly managed forests in Guatemala. It's the same material used by Patagonia in their adult wetsuits — and AVALY is one of the first brands in the world to bring it to kids' swimwear.
Material breakdown (wetsuits):
Our rashies, trunks, board shorts and one-pieces are made from recycled polyester rather than Yulex, and our womens range uses ECONYL regenerated nylon. All of it is UPF 50+.

Choosing AVALY means your child gets the same flexibility, warmth, and durability as a traditional wetsuit — without the environmental cost.
Getting the right fit matters. A wetsuit should feel like a comfortable second skin: snug enough to keep warmth in, with room to raise both arms and bend the knees freely.
Measure height and chest before choosing a size. Use weight as a cross-check, and prioritise chest measurement if the numbers sit across two sizes.
Between sizes? Go up — they'll grow into it, and a slightly roomy suit is far more use next summer than a snug one. Full measurements are on the size guide.

These buttery soft, gorgeous designed wetsuits are worth every penny! My Son and daughter live in these, they rarely wear cozzies anymore! No complaints that the water is cold, and they are super easy to spot at the beach! Love the yellow stripe design spring suit that also need them covered from the sun!

We purchased the daisy wetsuit for a birthday present... it was so well made/gorgeous/awesome design that we also went on to purchase a short sleeve for summer. Our wish is that they would make them for big kids too, my 14 yr old would love one! Great wetsuits ... highly recommend.
